An academic conference on confiscation of property in Poland and efforts at restitution was held in Warsaw on 28th -30th of June 2017.
One of the pundits and participant of the first panel on Polish experience on that matter was Józef Forystek, attorney-at-law, managing partner of our Law Firm. The conference was organized by Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, Loyola-Marymount University in Los Angeles and Charles University in Prague.
The conference was held under the honorary auspices of the Ministry of Justice, the General Public Prosecutor’s Office,
the Polish Bar Council and World Jewish Restitution Organization (WJRO).
The conference was focused on legal conditions of confiscation of property in Poland and possibilities of restitution. The participants could learn how processes of property restitution are carried out in other countries of this region like Czech Republic. Romania, Hungary or Serbia.
