We are also involved in recovering real estate properties seized in violation of the provisions of the PKWN Decree of 12 December 1944on the seizure of certain woods - the State Treasury became the owner of wooded plots of land (real estate properties) having a size of more than 25ha. So, if the woods in 1939 had a smaller size or were divided into smaller plots there is a chance of recovering such woods in kind.

We carry out proceedings to determine the ownership pursuant to Art. 189 of the Code of Civil Procedure. Primarily, however, we handle cases for compensation for the so-called legislative negligence consisting in the failure by the Parliament of the Republic of Poland to issue an act of law that is provided for in Art. 7 of the Act of 6 July 2001on the maintenance of the national character of the strategic natural resources of Poland - awarding the former owners compensation for the lost woods.
